The First Ultrasound!!!!!!!!!!
Ok so we went to the doctor for the first ultrasound expecting to see our baby for the first time and that’s it. Well we got a lot more! I laid down on the table and there was a tv above my head where I could see everything and Jason could see on the other one. Well we saw the baby right away! It was moving all around, moving it’s feet and it’s arms. The umbilical cord was on it’s knee and it was playing with it with it’s hands. So then after a few pictures the ultrasound lady asked us if we were planning on finding out what it is, we said yes, and she said well i can tell you now if you want! We were not planning that! Well Jason and I are having a baby girl! So her full name is Rogan Jean Appleton. It’s great news. I have a bunch of the pictures and I’m gonna post a couple on here but i have to find a scanner!
Well now that bad news……The doctor came in and talked to me because I have something called placenta previa. Its basically where the placenta is over the cervix instead of the baby. The placenta should be on the side wall or above the baby, instead it is below the baby. So he came in and basically said that I’m gonna have an ultrasound every 4 weeks until the placenta has moved away from the cervix. If however it doesn’t by the time the baby is ready to come out then I will have to have a c-section. Which they said in most cases it does move. Which it better cause I do NOT want to have a c-section cause it just seems really scary. Well remember how I said he is a really funny man? Well he said that also meant no sex….Jason and I looked at each other in fear but then I looked at the doctor and he had a big smile on his face…..I was likeĀ “you’re just kiddin!” He said “nope, not at all. Not till your next ultrasound” So basically for the next 4 weeks Jason gets taken care of….every man’s dream! Haha. Thats ok it gives us a chance to be more creative i guess.
So that’s how the first ultrasound went. i have another doctor appointment on Tuesday, a week from now. I’ll keep you posted (HEHE)
